Stereotypes about the Millennial Generation are hasty generalizations that affect the self esteems of these adolescents and may affect their willingness to contribute to society in a positive way after the Baby Boomers are long gone. The curriculum, management, tolerance, and overall interactions between these age groups is essential to the breakthrough in modern technology and standard of living of future residents of the world. Now, with stereotypes such as "... they are addicted to the itch...of immediate gratification,[and] that they are not interested in participating in the casino stock market" or "the only take selfies and don't do anything good for society" or better yet "they're materialistic, lazy, narcissists who are the main causes of texting while driving" don't make us want to work for you or even be around you in the first place. Many millennials still have traditional values, but those values are updated, so to say. The ultimate goal is to still be successful in life with a great-paying job and eventually a family, but in between those stages or earlier, Millennials prefer to travel, experience, and be exposed to the world in order to make it better and share about it on social media. It's like bragging about volunteering to save kids in Africa to your friends, but from several thousand miles away. The technology developed by the Ben Franklin Generation is and will be revolutionary and will keep communication enhanced and definitely improve society with our early introduction to the internet and devices. Before making any hasty comments about a whole generation after seeing one teenager on their phone, consider who will be taking care of you at the old nursing home or who your doctor will be when you're old. :)
